We work with children, teenagers, adults and families. We help people in different life situations and provide access to support for safe and healthy relationships. Our work combines professional expertise and volunteer involvement.

Help in situations of post-separation violence and stalking – Support Center Varjo

At Support Center Varjo, we offer nationwide help in situations involving post-separation violence and stalking. We provide information, guidance, advice, and counseling. We meet with all parties affected by violence, as well as their loved ones. Support can be offered individually or in peer support groups. In-person meetings are available in Mikkeli and Oulu; otherwise, sessions are held remotely.

Help for domestic violence

If there is violence in your relationship or family, or if you are concerned about your own behavior, you can change the situation by seeking help. We support all parties affected by domestic violence.

We offer free guidance and counseling for children and adults, either as couple or family sessions. We also run groups and peer support groups.

Our services are intended for people living in the South Savo wellbeing services region. You can contact us anonymously if you wish.

Help for those experiencing economic abuse

In the Support for Survivors of Economic Abuse (Taloudellisen väkivallan kokijan tuki)(TaTuki) project (ESF+), we help you if you are experiencing or have experienced economic abuse. We offer individual and supportive help tailored to your situation. Clients can be referred from anywhere in the South Savo region.

Support for children, young people, and their loved ones to ensure safety in everyday life

In the Violence-Free School and Everyday Life for Children and Youth (Lasten ja nuorten väkivallaton koulu ja arki – ) project (STEA), we work to promote safe everyday life and non-violence with children and young people in schools and their everyday environments. We offer counseling support, guidance, and advice to children and young people as well as their loved ones.

Support for parenting and everyday family life

We are here for you when you need support with parenting, communication, or coping with everyday family life. Our services include various peer groups as well as individual and family meetings.

Support for men and their loved ones – Miesten asema

Our services are intended for men and their loved ones. We offer the opportunity for individual and couple meetings as well as peer support. We are here for you when you need support during life’s challenges and turning points. We also support you and your partner in relationship-related concerns and throughout the separation process.

You’re welcome to contact us without any pressure, and you may remain anonymous if you wish.

Support for working-age people in challenging life situations

In the Strength and Light for Life (Voimaa ja valoa elämään) project (ESF+), we work to support the wellbeing and functional capacity of working-age people facing challenging life situations. We offer individual and group psychosocial support alongside you.
